To a friend

Please, grab my hand and hold it tight.
I won't make it through the night
If I'm alone without assistance.

Through time I've built so much resistance
To all that's kind, sweet, and honest...

I'm lost and scared in this forest.
The fog is thick.
All looks the same.

It's getting real...
No longer life is just a silly game I play...

I AM a fool to think I'm winning.

I must get back to the beginning,

But where to go?
Which is The way?
That's where I stop, calm down, I pray.
It's hard to do for a non-believer.

Hold on... What's that?
I hear a river?
Somewhere in a distance.
It clearly just called my name.
I must find flow, give up resistance,
A sense of shame, and cruel pride.

My God,
Wherever You may be,
I've been so proud!

So high in sky I flew...

Without a doubt,
This forest's nothing else,
But so much needed "wake-up call."

It's time to score.
I've got the ball.

How scary is to be in charge!
Yet, wish for a win is also large.

Must find the river...

Don't think, just breathe.
Hold on to faith, find ease.
The rest shall fall into right place.

There is much courage, love, and grace
That shine so bright inside my heart.

It's time to move.
And, so, I start...
